How to Vote

Advanced Voting

(a) Location: Penticton City Hall
Date: 10th day before general voting day (November 9, 2011)
Time: 8:00am to 8:00pm

(b) Location: Penticton City Hall
Date: 9th day before general voting day (November 10, 2011)
Time: 8:00am to 8:00pm

Special Voting Opportunities

Special voting opportunities to give electors who may otherwise be unable to vote, shall be held November 15, 2011 as follows:

  • Penticton Regional Hospital at 550 Carmi Avenue - 8:30am to 10:30am
  • Haven Hill Retirement Centre at 415 Haven Hill Road - 11:00am to 12 noon
  • Trinity Centre at 75 Green Avenue - 1:00pm to 2:30pm
  • Village by the Station at 270 Hastings Avenue - 3:00pm to 5:30pm

The only persons who may vote pursuant to this special voting opportunity are persons who, on the date on which a special voting opportunity is held and before the end of the voting hours for the special voting opportunity, have been admitted as patients to the hospital or residents of a nursing home and qualify as electors. Staff who are unable to get out and vote at the general voting opportunity due to their shift schedule may vote at the special voting opportunity.

Mail Ballot Voting

Mail ballot voting will be available for those persons who qualify as electors and who have a physical disability, illness or injury that affects their ability to vote at another voting opportunity or who expect to be absent from the municipality on voting day and at the times of all advance voting opportunities. Mail ballots must be received by the Chief Elections Officer before the close of voting on general voting day.

General Voting

General voting will take place at Penticton Trade & Convention Centre, 273 Power Street, Penticton, BC on November, 19, 2011 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
