Waterfront Public Engagement Session

Date: May 5, 2012 (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

The City of Penticton wants to hear from you! Ideas, input and feedback from the public and stakeholders are critical as the West Okanagan Lake waterfront revitalization planning process unfolds, and everyone is invited to take part.

So far, the following public consultation sessions are planned:

  • Wednesday, May 2: The public is invited from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, 273 Power St., in Meeting Rooms 1, 2 and 3.
  • Saturday, May 5: The public is welcome to check out the process through a display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cherry Lane Mall, 2111 Main St.

Anyone is welcome to attend these public sessions.

The City of Penticton also invites residents, businesses and stakeholders to fill out a questionnaire surrounding West Okanagan Lake Waterfront online, which takes approximately five minutes. Respondents will likely find it helpful to read over the presentation [PDF-8.3 MB] that outlines the project and stimulates public discussion and ideas on amenities on the waterfront areas. The survey is available by clicking here.

We greatly appreciate everyone's efforts to complete the survey on the Internet. If you are having difficulty opening the survey online, please contact us by email or call 250-490-2400 and other arrangements can be made, like providing a hard copy. Your ideas and feedback are important to us.

There will be more opportunities for input in the future, too. In the interim, to submit your ideas, input and feedback, please email waterfront@penticton.ca.
