Waterfront consultation deadline extended to Friday, September 7th
September 5, 2012
The City of Penticton is extending the deadline for public comments to FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH on Vibrant Penticton waterfront revitalization to ensure all residents have an opportunity to give their feedback.
“There has been a lot of healthy discussion about what the public wants to see on the west Okanagan Lake waterfront, and we want the conversation to continue,” said Rod King, chair of the Waterfront Enhancement Select Committee.
“A great deal of input has been submitted to date, and we invite the public to give us their thoughts. We are not restricting feedback to any given options, and are open to the community's comments, suggestions and ideas.”
Residents are invited to visit the project website to view an interactive presentation that will let them zoom into design drawings, review the options available and link to the online survey.
For those who cannot open the presentation online, the large design drawings have been printed out and are on display at City Hall Council Chambers, Penticton Community Centre and the City Yards building. Hard copies of the survey are available at all of these locations.
For those who would like to provide their comments directly, the public can send an email at any time.
