100 Block Revitalization Gets Underway Sept 6th

Penticton - The City is excited to begin the infrastructure upgrades and revitalization of the 100 Block of Main Street in continuation of the Downtown Revitalization plan. Please be advised that work will begin at 7:00am in the 100 Block Main Street on September 6,2016. At this time, fencing of the construction zone will be installed and preparatory work to remove fixtures will begin. Work will then begin to install new water and storm sewer mains. Pedestrian access to all business front doors will be maintained throughout the construction; however, there will be times when accessibility from one direction may be limited. A mid-block crossing will be provided when possible. Downtown remains open for business! The front entrance to City Hall will remain open for the bulk of the construction, but access to City Hall is recommended from the back entrance on Martin Street. Free public parking is also available directly in front of the Martin Street back entrance. 100 Block completion is expected in early December. Thank you for your patience during construction.
