Christmas Tree Pick-Up and Recycling Program
December 26, 2016 - January 31, 2017
Christmas Tree Pick Up and Tree Recycling
The Christmas Tree pick-up program is once again being provided by members of the Penticton Fire Department – IAFF Local 1399. Penticton residents are encouraged to call the Penticton Fire Department at 250-490-2315 to arrange for their Christmas tree to be picked up from Dec. 28 to Jan. 18, 2017 by Fire Fighters during their off time. A donation to the Penticton Firefighters Charitable Society, Muscular Dystrophy and/or BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund is very much appreciated for this service.
Residents can also drop off natural trees for chipping and recycling at Fire Hall #2 located at 285 Dawson Avenue from Dec. 26, 2015 to Jan. 31, 2016. A donation box has been set up. The trees are then chipped and taken to the Campbell Mountain Landfill for the composting program. On January 7th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm the Penticton Firefighters Local 1399 and generous local sponsors will be providing BBQ hot dogs and hot chocolate for those dropping off trees.Go to Top
