Building Bylaw No. 94-45 Amendments

Purpose: Advise the development community of recent amendments to Building Bylaw No. 94-45

Background:

  • Concerns within the development community identified confusion within the existing Building Bylaw in specifics areas and dissatisfaction with the expiration of Building Permits on larger projects; and
  • Lack of indemnity for the City of Penticton on projects using overhead cranes.

Bylaw Enforcement

All land development applications including Subdivisions, Rezoning, Development Permits, Building Permits and Business Licenses are processed through the Development Services Department.

The Bylaw Enforcement Division is a sub-division within the Building and Licence Division of Development Services and is responsible for the enforcement of City Bylaws.
