BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration Pilot: Penticton Intake Process

Penticton is enthusiastic about the opportunity the BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration Pilot offers for pairing international entrepreneurs with our Community priorities. The City of Penticton Economic Development Department is partnering with the South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services Society to support this program. This page will provide you with the overview of the intake process to request an exploratory visit as part of your application for the immigration pilot. All applicants must cross-reference with BC PNP program requirements.

About the BC PNP Pilot Program:

The BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration stream is for experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to invest in and actively manage a business in B.C. While there are two other immigration streams in the BC PNP portfolio, this pilot is intended to attract entrepreneurs to participating regional communities to establish new businesses that align with the communities’ economic development priorities. Important and detailed information is available on the BC PNP website.

Our Intake Process

The Penticton pilot will only accept applications for business startups in the following sectors:

  1. Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services
  2. Food Manufacturing
  3. Beverage and Tobacco Product Manufacturing

(click on the links above to see what sub-sectors are included)

Applications with business ideas outside these three sectors will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed in the order that they are received.

If selected for an exploratory site visit, the applicant must be present for the site visit. Verification documents may be requested prior to qualifying for a site visit. Please note: potential applicants or immigration consultants for the regional pilot must qualify through the  official intake process for a site visit meeting to be granted.

Exploratory visits will be hosted only on the last Friday of each month and only by invitation, as per the information above.
