Parcel Tax Roll Review - 300 block Main Street

PUBLIC NOTICE - Pursuant to the provisions of Division 4 (Parcel Taxes) of Part 7 of the Community Charter, the City of Penticton has the Parcel Tax Roll available for inspection and will consider amendments.

The parcel tax is to be imposed on the basis of frontage for impacted properties in order to recover a portion of the capital costs of the Main Street improvement project.

The parcel tax roll is available for review at the City Hall property tax counter, 171 Main Street, Penticton during regular business hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

The Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel will meet on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Council Chambers, City Hall to consider written complaints regarding:

  • An error or omission respecting a name or address on the parcel tax roll;
  • An error or omission respecting the inclusion of a parcel;
  • An error or omission respecting the taxable area or the taxable frontage of a parcel;
  • An exemption has been improperly allowed or disallowed.

 In order for a complaint to be considered by the panel, written notice of the complaint must be given to the City of Penticton at least 48 hours before the time of the meeting.  Submissions may be hand delivered, mailed or via email to the attention of the Corporate Officer, City of Penticton, 171 Main Street, Penticton, BC V2A 5A9, Fax: (250) 490-2402 Email: corpadmin@penticton.ca.
