Policing & RCMP

Penticton RCMP is committed to delivering efficient, responsive and innovative policing to all citizens of our detachment area. Through innovative programming and partnerships, targeting prolific offenders and the use of crime reduction strategies, all members of the Penticton RCMP are committed to making Penticton the safest and healthiest community in which to live, work and raise a family.

A Message from RCMP Inspector Ted De Jager:

"Our priorities moving into 2018 will be centered around reducing the effect of crime on our community, in particular property crime. Part of that is addressing the perception that this type of crime is out of control, when in fact it is on step with similar communities. That does not mean we will reduce our efforts to reduce this impact, but it does mean we need you to be part of the solution. We will continue to work with you to ensure crime and suspicious activity are being reported and that members of the public are securing and protecting their property. This year, we will be gearing our operations around five priorities that were developed through an analysis of our crime trends, consultation with the community and discussion with local governments to ensure we are focusing on the areas of greatest concern.”
