Leisure Pool customer appreciation
October 13, 2015
Repair work to the Leisure Pool at the Penticton Community Centre is currently underway. After a water leak was detected, the City began working with professionals to design the best fix to the drain. It’s anticipated that repair work will take several weeks – and this will happen at night during off-hours to avoid disruptions during operational hours. The repair work will be done at no cost to the City. We anticipate reopening the pool in the third week of November, pending construction progress.
The Leisure Pool might still be under repair, but there will be lots of fun reasons to visit the Penticton Community Centre in the weeks ahead.
The City of Penticton is pleased to launch weekly “thank you theme weeks” at the Penticton Community Centre. The weekly celebrations are a way of rewarding customers for their patience and loyalty as Leisure Pool construction continues — supported through sponsorship with the Downtown Penticton Association.
Each week will have a theme with a giveaway, activities and new draw prizes. For example, starting Monday, the theme of the first week will be "Celebrate the Harvest.” Upper Bench Fruit Farms will be giving away free apples to patrons, young visitors will be able to take part in bobbing for apples, and parents can enter the weekly draw for a 6 month pass to the Fitness Room. The second week, marking "Fall Colours," The Pumpkin Farmer will be handing out free mini pumpkins and young children can take part in a pumpkin decorating contest.
Every time you enter the weekly draw, your name will automatically be entered into "Santa's Bigger Bag," a draw for the Grand Prize Family Pack sponsored by Downtown Penticton Association and the City of Penticton! The Grand Prize draw will happen during the popular Santa Claus Parade in Downtown Penticton.
