PWABC awards Public Works Manager, Len Robson, “Manager of the year”

City of Penticton Public Works Manager, Len Robson, has been named “Manager of the Year” by the Public Works Association of British Columbia (PWABC) during an award ceremony held September 18, 2018.  Recognised by his colleagues and peers, the award distinguishes the leadership and success of managers employed in the municipal field of public works.

“I think this award helps to validate that we have some phenomenal staff working at the City, and this award not only recognizes Mr. Robson, but also the team that works with him to make things happen”, said Penticton Mayor, Andrew Jakubeit.

“When we heard Len had been recognized by the PWABC, we felt the same pride that everyone that works with Len felt”, said Penticton’s Chief Administrative Officer, Peter Weeber.  “The qualities that the PBWABC have recognized are regularly acknowledged by his team, his peers and our customers.  On behalf of the City of Penticton we congratulate Len for his leadership in our industry and commitment to the community he serves”.

“This is an honor for not only Len, but the City as a whole.  Len’s approach to leading his team is professional, resourceful and organized. He is always trying to improve his department and develop his staff so that they can become the best they can be”, said General Manger of Infrastructure, Mitch Moroziuk.  “Len can always be counted on to get things done, whether it is a routine day to day matter, a complex technical matter or an emergency”.
