Utility Rate Review Conclusions
Andrew McLaren, Intergroup, provided Council with a presentation on the City of Penticton Utility Rate Review with public engagement of the preliminary results to be held April 16-17, 2019, and the results of the Utility Rate Review will be reflected in updates to Fees and Charges Bylaw and take effect beginning in 2020.
2019 Citizen Survey
City staff provided Council with an overview of the 2019 Citizen Survey to gather feedback from residents to shape the future of priorities.
Penticton Airport Service Update – Survey Results
City staff provided Council with an update on the results from the Air Canada proposed flight time change survey.
Official Community Plan Review
City staff provided Council with a high-level overview of the new Official Community Plan.
Local Government Support for Cannabis Retail Stores
Council directed staff to send recommendations of support to the British Columbia Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) for non-medical cannabis retail store licenses for the following properties:
- 210 Main Street (Green Gaia)
- 385 Martin Street (Cannabis Cottage)
- 2695 Skaha Lake Road (Spiritleaf)
- 106 – 2210 Main Street (BC Cannabis Store)
Council deferred consideration of Zen Canna, Green Essence, Greenery Cannabis Boutique and Bluewater Cannabis to future meeting when Council considers the other pending cannabis applications.
