Council receives official first draft of OCP

The first draft of the Official Community Plan (OCP) was presented during the April 16 Committee of the Whole Council meeting. An Official Community Plan guides the future of our community through a land use plan, goals and policies in areas like housing, environment and transportation, and Development Permit Area Guidelines.

“We are pleased to have reached this point in the process and are grateful to everyone who has been involved and provided input over the last two years,” says Manager, Special Projects, Ben Johnson. “We are now at stage where we can share this complete draft with the community and get their input on the vision and direction of the OCP.”

Residents are encouraged to download and view the document on in preparation for upcoming engagement activities that will give the community an opportunity to provide feedback on the OCP to City staff.
