Penticton Museum & Archives ready to showcase hospitals

NEWS RELEASE

The Penticton Museum & Archives is inviting the public to the opening of its new exhibit, The Spirt of a Caring Community, the History of Penticton’s Hospitals, on March 21 from 4:30-6:00pm.

“The exhibit comes at a perfect time with the opening of the new David E. Kampe Tower on April 29,” says Museum Manager, Dennis Oomen. “We felt that this was a great opportunity to showcase the variety of health care facilities in our community and celebrate the opening of new ones.”

The Spirt of a Caring Community, the History of Penticton’s Hospitals will be exploring the community, growth and changes of Penticton’s health services from early 1900s to present day. Augmented with evocative period photography from the Penticton Archives, the display will provide a comprehensive look at one of Penticton’s oldest and most indispensable institutions.

Residents and visitors can enjoy the display at the Museum until the Fall of this year. For more information, visit the Museum at 785 Main Street or by calling 250-490-2451.
