Time to vote for your favourite photo!

The City has published the shortlist of photos from the Snap Your City Photo Contest for residents to vote for their favourites. The photo contest was launched in January to gather photos to use for the City’s new website as well as in other City presentations and publications. Over 700 photos were submitted.

“There were so many outstanding photos, it was a really difficult task to pare them down,” says Communication Manager Philip Cooper. “We selected photos for the shortlist that we felt would make great feature shots on the website. There were literally hundreds that we can see using elsewhere on the website or in City publications.”

Residents can now go to shapeyourcitypenticton.ca and pick their favourites in each of the five categories: Recreation & Sports; Arts, Culture & Events; Amenities & Place; Nature & Parks; and Innovation & Economy. Only registered members of the site can vote. Members can vote for as many photos as they like in each category but they can only vote once. When the voting period ends on Mar. 1, the photographer of the photo with the most votes in each category will win a one-month free pass to the Community Centre.
