Penticton City Council wishes Andi Naude success in PyeongChang

(Penticton BC – January 23, 2018) – With the 2018 Winter Olympics just weeks away, Penticton City Council is wishing local freestyle mogul skier and Team Canada member, Andi Naude, success as she departs for PyeongChang Korea next month.

“It’s not every day that you get the opportunity to represent your country on a world stage. We are all very proud of Andi as she pursues her dream to compete at the winter Olympics in Korea”, said Penticton Mayor, Andrew Jakubeit.  “She has been an inspiration for local aspiring freestyle mogul skiers and we will be watching her with great interest. We wish Andi success in the weeks ahead”

Growing up in Penticton, Naude spent the majority of her weekends skiing with family and friends at Apex Mountain Resort. With a strong passion for skiing, she took it a step further and, at the age of 16, qualified for the Canadian National Freestyle Ski Team.

Naude and the rest of the Canadian Olympic Mogul Ski Team have chosen Apex Mountain Resort as the venue for their pre-Olympic training camp, and will be in Penticton from January 25 to January 31. Penticton residents are encouraged to come out and show their support to these amazing Canadian athletes prior to their departure.
