Residents asked to conserve water during supply pipe connection
(Penticton BC – March 19, 2018) – Penticton residents are being asked to exercise moderation with their domestic water use during the period of March 26 to March 29 and again April 2 to April 6 while the City takes steps to connect a new water supply pipe. Disruptions to water service are not anticipated.
“It is important that residents be mindful of unnecessary water usage during this period so that the City can continue to supply domestic water for household use, business use and fire fighting purposes”, said Design Supervisor, Tyler Figgitt. “The City asks that you limit your water consumption to only what is necessary for household or business purposes. Please do not use your irrigation system, fill swimming pools, wash vehicles or use water to clean exteriors of houses, driveways, or decks, or any other use outdoors during the affected period.”
Please note, these conservation methods apply to domestic water use only. Commercial water use (such as car washes) is exempt. Residents with questions can call 250-490-2522.
The City thanks all residents in advance for their cooperation.
