Utility upgrade to reduce traffic flow along section of Skaha Lake Road

(Penticton, BC – September 24, 2018) – Penticton residents are advised that a section of Skaha Lake Road, between Galt Avenue and Brandon Avenue, will be reduced to two lanes during the day while utility upgrade work is carried out Wednesday, September 26 through to completion, expected November 2.

Direct access to businesses along this section of Skaha Lake Road remains available.

Asphalt surface removal will commence this week followed by sanitary sewer and water main replacement commencing the following week.  During the work two lanes of traffic (one in each direction) will remain in place.  To maintain safety, crews may occasionally reduce traffic to a single alternating lane or provide detours. Please obey all traffic control personnel and signage while travelling through this work zone.
