We can help you get your business up and running as soon as possible. Here are some steps you can take to get started with the necessary licences and permits. Also visit our Guide to Business for more information.
Three Easy Steps to Starting Your Business
Step 1: Contact the City
Contact our business licensing representatives to find out what it takes to start up your business. We’ll point you in the right direction and provide everything you need to know about zoning or possible health or building code requirements. Ph: 250-490-2488, firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you seek information about starting or expanding your business, contact Penticton’s Economic Development Office. We can also provide help or advice involving setting up your business, accessing information and statistics, or other business and investment questions. Ph: 250-490-2591, email@example.com.
Step 2: Register with OneStop
Visit B.C.’s OneStop Business Registry to register your business and obtain B.C. business numbers. There, you can apply for and complete registrations for new or existing businesses with local, provincial and federal governments.
Step 3: Register with the City
Complete our e-application form to apply for a City of Penticton business licence. A City representative will contact you to complete the process. If you have already applied for a business licence through OneStop, you don't need to complete this form.
Once you receive your business licence, you will be automatically included in our Business Directory.
