Note on Yard Waste: You’re able to get an additional 240L cart or additional 360L cart for $76.40/year. Also visit our Yard Waste page for details about our Seasonal Unlimited Yard Waste weeks, where residents can place any paper bags or containers clearly labelled “yard waste only.”

Sometimes we don't put out as much at the curb, for a variety of reasons. If you have a small yard or no yard, you can arrange for a smaller cart or opt-out of the yard waste cart service.

Do you need a new cart or want to make a change? Download and fill out the form below and submit to publicworks@penticton.ca. The administration fee of $34.76  can be paid over the phone by credit card. If you cannot submit this form electronically or pay over the telephone, please call Public Works at 250-490-2500 for further assistance.

If you are unsure about your cart needs, we recommend that you view the carts at the City Yards (616 Okanagan Avenue East).

Please note, if you are renting your home, please contact your landlord to request changes, as all charges will be added to the annual tax account.

We understand that some people might be nervous about their ability to move the wheeled carts. The carts are designed with ergonomics and safety in mind.

However, if you have accessibility needs, please review the Disability Exemption Criteria and fill out the Cart Exemption Application. If you still have questions, please contact us and we would be happy to discuss options available to you.

Carts can become damaged through regular use, and the City will repair or replace your damaged carts at no cost. Simply note the 10 digit serial number on the side of the cart and call City Yards at 250-490-2500. 

At times carts can go missing and the City will replace stolen carts at no cost. Please call City Yards at 250-490-2500 to report a missing cart.
