Transit

The City of Penticton's goal is to support public transit as a comfortable, affordable, safe and convenient means of local and regional transportation. Monthly transit passes are available to purchase from Berry & Smith, Safeway, London Drugs and City Hall.

Berry & Smith are open to the public and have a stock of all transit tickets, and can be reached by phoning 250-492-4042 or by going  to 301 Warren Avenue East, Penticton, V2A 3M1.

Free Transit Passes for Ages 24 and Under

The City has launched a pilot project that will provide free access to BC Transit for youth aged 24 and under throughout 2024. Youth between 13 and 24 will be able receive free transit by registering at one of five locations (12 and under always ride for free).

Umo Digital Payment System: Now Live!

BC Transit's new electronic fare payment system, Umo (pronounced "you-mo"), is now available in Penticton and throughout the South Okanagan-Similkameen Transit System. This new tap system provides the choice of paying by using either the Umo mobility app or a reloadable Umo card. And yes, cash is still accepted, if preferred.
