Water Sources
Penticton’s water comes from two sources: Penticton Creek and Okanagan Lake. Our water system consists of six reservoirs, five pressure pump stations, three booster stations, more than 1,000 fire hydrants and an extensive distribution system serving a population of more than 33,000 people.
Water is treated at the City’s water treatment plant, which runs seven days a week, 365 days a year. It has been in operation since 1997, ensuring our community’s water meets the highest standards.
