Located at 1350 King Street, McLaren Arena is your go-to location for public skating, sports games, and other ice activities. The arena also hosts dry floor activities in the spring.
Please note McLaren Arena will close for the season on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Our open public skating offers the classic loop skate that we love!- Regular admission rates apply.
- CSA approved helmet or winter helmets are not mandatory but strongly recommended.
- Rental skates are available.
- *One third of the ice is designated for guardians with youth under age 5.
Parent & Tot
0-5 years, and one adult guardian
Our Parent & Tot public skate offers the classic loop skate that we love!- Children must be supervised on the ice by an adult guardian.

To make your visit enjoyable and safe for everyone, please:
- Always skate in the designated direction
- Forward skate only
- Do not carry infants or small children on the ice
- Refrain from horseplay, tag or excessive speed
- Keep strollers in designated beginner areas
- No food or drink is allowed on the ice
- No shoes allowed on the ice
- No headphones or cell phones on the ice
We strongly recommend wearing CSA approved hockey helmets.
Skate Patrol and Arena Staff have the authority to refuse admittance to anyone who violates these rules or who interferes with the safety and enjoyment of other skaters.The Activate Penticton Outdoor Ice Rink is located at 107 Martin Street, behind City Hall.
The rink is managed and maintained by a team of volunteers from the Activate Penticton Society, a non-profit made up of locals looking to give back to the community.

Facility Rental Information
McLaren Arena is available for rentals! You’ll find spectator seating for 250, four change rooms, a referee room and a meeting room on-site. The rink is 180' x 80' and includes access to score clock, skate shop, and goal nets. For booking or rental information, please call email or call 250-490-2437.

The South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC), OHS Training Centre and Memorial Arena can be rented for your use. The SOEC and OHS Training Centre are full-sized ice sheets. For rental information visit the SOEC website.
