Beach & Mobile Truck Vending

The City of Penticton's Beach Vending program offers vendors a 3-year License to Use agreement.  The current program term is from  May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2027. 

• Sites available at Okanagan Lake: 1 and 2
• Sites available at Skaha Lake: 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23

These beach sites are restricted to retail vendors, beach related activities or items.  Food items are not permitted at  any of these locations.   For further information on site locations, fees and requirements, see the 2024 Beach Vending Application

The City of Penticton's Mobile Vending program offers vendors a 1-year operating permit in select locations.   For further information on site locations, fees and requirements, please see the 2024 Mobile Vending Application.

Food Truck vendors wishing to operate on private property must follow the following guidelines:

1.  The mobile store use (food services, retail etc.) must be a permitted use in the zoning category that applies to the property on which the license is applied for.  Information on zoning can be obtained through the Planning Department.  Email your request to planning@penticton.ca; and
2.  A City of Penticton Business License is required along with proof  from the property owner by way of letter or agreement, authorizing your use of the property for the purpose of food vending.
