Affordable Housing Pilot Funding Program

The City of Penticton is offering a pilot funding partnership opportunity for non-profit housing providers who are seeking to build affordable housing. The program allows for qualified non-profits to apply for pre-development funding to support work needing to be done by non-profits to apply for capital grants from the provincial and federal governments, including development consulting, architectural designs, and technical studies.

Council approved up to $100,000 for this one-year pilot program, open from March 2024 to March 2025. The funds are coming from the Affordable Housing Amenity Contribution Reserve, with the money contributed from several large developments over the past 15 years. Approved non-profits will benefit from the funding and the partnership with city staff who can provide guidance and assistance with their proposed affordable housing development.

Please review the application form and guidelines for more information about this pilot funding opportunity. You can also contact socialdevelopment@penticton.ca with any questions.
