Spring has arrived, and so have the bears! Let’s do our part to keep them safe and out of our garbage bins.
Residents are reminded that they may only place their bins out for pick-up between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on collection day. The fine for leaving the bins outside these hours is $100.
Tips to keep the bears away
- Keep garbage, recyclables, compost and other attractants secure – indoors is best.
- Keep containers that store garbage and recycling clean and odour free.
- Freeze smelly items until collection day.
