Residents with curbside collection in the City of Penticton will receive large item collection during the week of April 14-18, 2025. A maximum of two items per house will be collected, and each item cannot weigh more than 90 kg or 200 lb.
Accepted Items
- Furniture
- Large appliances (fridges must be empty)
- Mattresses and boxsprings
- Cat towers
- Gym equipment
- BBQs (hoses, tanks and dripping trays with oil must be removed and are not accepted)
- Area carpets (must be rolled, taped securely and under 6 feet / 1.8 metres)
- Blinds (taped securely, cords removed)
Not Accepted
- Building materials
- Kitchen / bathroom cabinets or fixtures
- Doors
- Toilets
- Hot water tanks
- Carpets
- Gas or battery-powered equipment
- Hot tubs and lids
- Any items weighing more than 90 kg / 200 lb
- Electronics
- Lawn mowers
- Automotive parts
