2025 Holiday Collection
Be aware that waste collection will not take place on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day, which both fall on a Thursday. For residents who place their carts at the curb on Thursday, your carts will be collected one day after your usual date on Friday, Dec. 26. Residents who place their carts at the curb on Friday, your carts will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 27.
There will be three straight weeks of recycle collection starting the week of Dec. 22. It is important to place your carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day to ensure pickup.
In order to ensure your waste is always collected, please have your carts at their collection point no later than 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. During the months of January and February there is no yard waste collection and routes are cleared much quicker than usual. The City of Penticton provides waste collection services, through a contractor, to residential and some multi-family properties.
