Public Schools

Within School District 67 (Okanagan Skaha), we’re home to seven elementary, two middle and three secondary schools as well as distributed learning and alternate education options. Also within the school district, Summerland has two elementary, one middle and one high school. There is also a French language public school as well as a late French Immersion program at KVR Middle School (starting Grade 6).

Private Schools

Nearby in Summerland, Unisus School offers a day and full-time boarding school with a Pre-K to Grade 12 International Baccalaureate curriculum. There are also several faith-based private schools in Penticton, including Holy Cross

Hockey Academy

Another big draw for many families is the Okanagan Hockey Academy, which attracts future hockey stars from around the world for school-year curriculums and summertime intensive skills camps.

Post-Secondary

Okanagan College in Penticton is hailed for its special programs including viticulture, business studies, social justice, welding and sustainable construction management. Other local training schools include Sprott Shaw College, Topflight Elite Training & Charters, and BP Aviation.

Just an hour away in Kelowna is the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus.
