Lakeview Cemetery provides a variety of options in products and can accommodate multiple wishes. This section is designed to guide you through choosing the right type of memorialization and burial options for you and your loved ones.
Columbarium Gardens at Lakeview Cemetery
Options available at Lakeview Cemetery's Columbarium Gardens:
- Columbarium niches, which hold two sets of ashes
- Mausoleum crypts, which hold one casket and one cremated remains
- Ossuary for in-ground co-mingled cremains
- Scattering gardens
Pricing Â
A resident is defined as any person who has resided or owned property within City limits for a period of six months immediately preceding the purchase of a Certificate of Entitlement to use a cemetery plot.
Note that pre-purchasing a plot is available within the Columbarium Gardens.

Options include:
- Infant Child Lot: limited to the interment of the human remains of one infant or child and the secondary interment of the cremated remains of not more than two individuals who have a direct and immediate familial (parent, sibling or grandparent) relationship to the interred infant or child.
- Traditional Flat Marker Lot: limited to the interment of the human remains of two people and the secondary interment of the cremated remains of not more than four people.
- Veteran Lot: Located in a designated veteran’s section of the cemetery, it is limited to the interment of the human remains of one individual who qualifies as a veteran and the secondary interment of the human remains or the cremated remains of the spouse of the veteran.
- Mausoleum Crypt Lot: limited to the interment of the human remains of one individual and the secondary interment of the cremated remains of not more than one individual.
- Upright Monument Lot: limited to the interment of the human remains of two individuals and the secondary interment of the cremated remains of not more than four individuals.
- Family Estate Lot: limited to the interment of the human remains of up to four individuals and the interment of the cremated remains of up to 16 individuals. This form of lot shall have as its first and primary form of memorial either one double upright monument or two single upright monuments and may also have up to six additional flat memorials installed flush with the ground.
- Green Burial Lot: limited to the interment of the human remains of two individuals and the secondary interment of the cremated remains of not more than four individuals.  The use of a green burial lot is subject, in every way, to Section 9.0 ‘Green Burial’ of the Cemetery Management Bylaw.
Options include:
- Standard Cremation Lot: limited to the remains of four individuals
- Veteran’s Cremation Lot: limited to the remains of two individuals, of which at least one qualifies as a veteran
- Columbarium Niche Lot: limited to the interment of cremated remains for two individuals
- Family Estate Cremation Lot: limited to the interment of the cremated remains of eight individuals
- Green Burial Cremation Lot: limited to the interment of the human remains of two individuals and the secondary interment of the cremated remains of not more than four individuals. The use of a green burial lot is subject, in every way, to Section 9.0 ‘Green Burial’ of the Cemetery Management Bylaw.
- Cremation Scattering: limited to the scattering of the cremated remains of one person where the scattering shall be made in an ossuary or designated scattering area of a City cemetery. One memorial of a design and type and at a location established by the City for scattering memorialization may be installed for this type of service.
