Outdoor Burning

The campfire ban issued this summer will be lifted at 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022. This applies to campfires and beach fire pits only. The City of Penticton thanks the public in advance for its cooperation in complying with the remaining open fire ban. Also note that campfires and bonfires (including backyard open fires) are not permitted in Penticton except at designated fire pits. The beach fire pit metal rings will be put in place at Penticton beaches starting Sept. 2.
