City adds extra bus service to accommodate crowds for Vees WHL home opener

Service Announcement

The City of Penticton has extended BC Transit bus service tonight to help accommodate large crowds after the Penticton Vees WHL home opener.

The game is anticipated to attract record attendance, with an estimated 5,000 hockey fans packing the South Okanagan Events Centre. The fun begins with a Plaza Party from 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., with the puck drop at 7 p.m.

Parking at the SOEC is first-come, first-served and will be limited. Fans are strongly encouraged to use public transit or bikes, taxi or ride-share services, or carpool when possible.
