Service Announcement
By order of the Fire Chief, the Citywide fire ban effective April 7, 2020 has now been lifted. Only the following types of fires are permitted with the applicable restrictions:
- the use of backyard fire places can resume at this time as the fire danger rating is low
- the use of fireworks is only permitted with an approved permit
- the use of sky lanterns are only allowed under specific conditions and with the approval of the Fire Chief
- open burning can only be done with a permit from October 15 to April 15 due to the high risk of wildfire
