Community invite: Regional Accessible Hockey Tournament at McLaren Arena

Service Announcement

The City is pleased to invite the community to the 2026 Regional Accessible Hockey Tournament, hosted at McLaren Arena on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

This special event celebrates inclusive sport and showcases the talents of athletes from across the region. This year’s tournament features:

  • Penticton UpperDek Vees
  • Central Okanagan Wild
  • Kamloops Junior Blazers

Games begin at 9:00 AM, with additional games at 10:40 AM and 12:10 PM.

Free admission with optional cash donation, with all proceeds supporting the OSNS Child Development Centre and advancing accessible recreation opportunities in our region.

Accessible and adaptive sports are vital to building a healthy, inclusive, and connected community. By removing barriers and expanding opportunities to participate, adaptive recreation helps support physical well‑being, social connection, and community belonging for individuals of all abilities.

The City encourages residents to come out, cheer on the athletes, and take part in a celebration of determination, teamwork, and community spirit.
