Looking for a new job? Job seekers will have the chance to connect directly with dozens of hiring employers next week at the Start Here Penticton Job Fair.
This once-a-year event takes place on Wednesday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre – and it’s free to attend.
The job fair will feature roughly 45 employers recruiting for everything from part time positions to highly skilled permanent roles, along with 11 resource agencies on-site to support attendees in their job search journey.
Participating organizations represent a wide range of industries, including medical and health care, trades and manufacturing, trucking, hospitality, banking, police and emergency services, government, child care and more. A full list of employers is available at penticton.ca/job-fair.
Job seekers are also invited to attend the following free information sessions in the Learning Theatre:
11-11:45 a.m.: Does customer service really work?
12-12-45 p.m.: Managing psychological health and safety in the workplace is as important as managing physical health and safety.
1-1:45 p.m.: Your personal brand is more than a resume – it’s the story people remember about you.
2-2:45 p.m.: Thriving with anxiety.
3-3:30 p.m.: A career with the City: Explore what it means to build a meaningful and impactful career in local government.
