Fall Recreation Guide has something for everyone

News Release

Whether you're looking to stay active, get creative, or try something new, the Fall 2025 Recreation Guide has something for you. Now available online and in print at select locations, the guide features a mix of new and returning programs for residents to explore and enjoy. Registration opens for residents at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Lace up the skates for all ages with McLaren Arena’s new public skating schedule, and discover the fun of shinny, with program options available for kids, teens and adults. Returning favourites include Winter Moves (an unstructured active time available at the Sportsplex), yoga, painting, sketching and West African drumming.

“We are continuing our work to make recreation accessible for all with returning programs like Friends in Motion and sensory-friendly swims and building on these successes with a new Friends in Music and Art option,” said recreation and business supervisor Darcey Godfrey. “We’re also offering more opportunities for youth and tots to explore their creative sides with Mini Artists and Little Groovers, and the new After-School Adventures program keeps kids active and engaged while developing physical fitness, teamwork and social skills.”
