Free public transit available on Election Day

Service Announcement

The B.C. provincial election is on Saturday, October 24, 2020 and BC Transit and the City of Penticton will be offering free public transit to encourage residents to get out and vote.

Elections BC wants to ensure that all eligible voters in British Columbia have the information they need to vote as this election will be different due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Voters have the option to vote by mail and must request a vote-by-mail package as soon as possible. Voters can request a package until October 17 by visiting votebymail.elections.bc.ca or by calling 1-800-661-8683.

Those wishing to cast their vote in-person can visit wheretovote.election.bc.ca for voting locations and can enjoy free public transit on Election Day.
