The City of Penticton’s Recreation department is in the final days of celebrating ParticipACTION’s Community Better Challenge, an annual initiative that encourages Canadians across the country to get active, together.
To wrap up the month-long challenge, Recreation Penticton will be offering free entry into the Community Centre fitness room (advanced registration required) between 2:15 and 3:30 p.m., June 30, 2021. Each registered participant will receive a $10 Community Centre gift certificate and staff will be onsite playing music and answering questions on upcoming recreation programs.
“We want to thank the community for getting out and getting active with us this past month,” says Recreation Coordinator of Event, Lisa O’Daly. “It has been an exciting month and we’ve enjoyed seeing the many participants in our different programs. We look forward to having one more opportunity to have community members join us in our fitness room for some physical activity and fun!”
Registration is required and spots are limited. To secure your spot, please call the Community Centre at 250-490-2426 or visit www.penticton.ca/communitybetterchallenge.
In addition to community prizes, there are also individual prizes available to win by tracking physical activity through the ParticipACTION app. Please visit the City’s website for details on how to enter to win one of these prizes, including a Fitbit Inspire 2.
