Join the City of Penticton in collaboration with BC Lung Foundation for a fun and hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to make your very own air filter from scratch. Perfect for anyone looking for a free way to boost indoor air quality. This is an in-person event, so come ready to get creative and meet other community members. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity.
Come learn emergency measures to remove contaminants like fire smoke, allergens, and pathogens from your indoor air.
This year in addition to a free air filter, participants will receive an indoor air quality monitor from BC Lung Foundation and Carter's Project. To learn more about Carter's Project, visit BC Lung Foundation or Carter's Project.
The City's Emergency Program Manager will also be at the sessions to provide information on emergency preparedness and the City's emergency notification system, Voyent Alert! There will be a draw to win an emergency grab and go bag at the end of each session.
The workshop will run twice on May 7, 1 p.m. and 6 p.m..
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
