In response to the impacts of flooding across parts of BC, the City of Penticton has received numerous inquiries from residents about where to direct donations for evacuees. Several organizations have now offered up their support.

JCI Penticton has stepped forward to accept water, non-perishable food, baby supplies (diapers, wipes, and formula), toiletries, feminine products, blankets, and phone chargers. These can be dropped off at the following locations during business hours:

  • Kettle Valley Memorial- 461 Dawson Ave
  • Modern Purair- 2335 Government Street
  • Graphically Hip- 200 Waterloo Ave #101

Cash

Cash donations can be directed to the Red Cross’s British Columbia Foods and Extreme Weather Appeal at www.redcross.ca

Gift Cards

For those looking to donate gift cards to evacuees in Penticton, residents can drop these off at reception at City Hall (171 Main Street, Penticton). The Penticton Emergency Support Services (ESS) team will give donated gift cards directly to evacuees who have fled to the Penticton area.

"As we have seen over the last number of years, Penticton continues to step up to support our neighbours and our own community during disasters," said Penticton Mayor, John Vassilaki. "Residents have been asking the City where they can best support flood evacuees, so I’m grateful to see JCI Penticton and Red Cross coming forward to help.”
