Notice for properties with backflow preventers

Service Announcement

Due to the postal strike, Penticton properties that typically receive notices in the mail about testing their backflow preventers should be aware of alternative ways to access this information.

These property owners, managers or maintenance companies are encouraged to log on to bsionline.ca to access information about your building’s back flow preventers, notices for testing and other information.

The City’s Cross Connection Control (CCC) program prevents backflow of non-potable water (not for human consumption) and other fluids from getting into the main treated water supply and the water systems within local buildings.

Owners of properties with backflow preventers are responsible to test them annually, regardless of any mail service disruption.

For more information about the CCC program, visit penticton.ca/cross-connection or phone 250-490-2416.

See the attached PDF for further information about how to register with BSI Online.
