Phone disruptions impacting City facilities

Service Announcement

Due to recent extreme weather and storms, City phone lines are currently not in service. The City continues to work with our telecommunications supplier, Bell, towards a solution.

To contact City facilities during the phone outage, please visit www.penticton.ca. To notify us of a non-emergency issue, please fill our our Report and Issue online form.

For specific information, the City has a comprehensive list of contacts to allow you to connect directly with appropriate departments. Below are some of the most common contacts:

  • If there is a media inquiry or question related to communications, please contact CityofPentictonAnnouncements@penticton.ca
     
  • If you have a bylaw related concern including parking issues, please email Bylaw directly at bylaw@penticton.ca.
     
  •  If you have a question regarding roads or transportation, please contact publicworks@penticton.ca.
     
  •  For utility service questions, please contact electric.utility@penticton.ca and for billing inquiries please contact utilities@penticton.ca.
     
  • For electrical emergency issues after hours (3:15pm-7:30am), power outages and power turn on, please email Electrical.oncall@penticton.ca. Please include your name, address, phone humber and issue, and the on-call employee from Electrical will return your message. 
     
  • To report an After Hours Emergency (3:15pm-7:30am), such as a watermain break or sewerline break, please call 1-250-469-8402. Please note that this is a long distance number and may be experiencing phone disruptions. 
     
  •  If you want to submit for a Public Hearing, please email publichearings@penticton.ca and for Temporary Use Permits, Development Variance Permits please email corpadmin@penticton.ca.
     
  • To register for programs and inquiry about other recreation classes, please email rec@penticton.ca.
     
  • To book an inspection, please email buildinginfo@penticton.ca  before 8:30 a.m. for same-day inspection requests.  Please provide a contact name, phone number, Building Permit number and property address and type of inspection you are requesting in the email.  Any email messages received after 8:30 a.m. will be scheduled for the next business day. A Building Official will contact the person between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to confirm a time that works best for both parties and confirm if the work will be substantially complete at the time of the inspection and that all required documentation is provided for.
