Property tax statements mailed to homeowners

Service Announcement

Property tax notices from the City of Penticton have been mailed to homeowners, with payments due July 2, 2026.

Property owners have several convenient options to make payments:

  • Pay online through your financial institution using online or telephone banking (please allow 3-5 business days for processing).
  • Pay online by credit card, or in person using Visa or MasterCard (surcharges apply).
  • Pay by cheque via mail, courier or the drop box outside City Hall. Payments must be received by July 2 (postmarks are not accepted).

To avoid lineups and ensure on-time payments, residents are encouraged to sign up for pre-authorized payment plans for utilities and property taxes. City Hall is open for in-person payments Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you are unable to pay your taxes this year, you may qualify for a provincial tax deferment. Eligible homeowners must also claim their Homeowner Grant by July 2 through the Province of B.C. Applications can be completed at gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or by calling 1-888-355-2700.

Property tax notices can also be accessed online through MyCity. If you have not received your notice by June 4, please contact the Property Tax department at 250-490-2485 or tax.clerk@penticton.ca.
