The City of Penticton's Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) continues to closely monitor the Bald Range Wildfire and work with regional partners to support wildfire response efforts across the South Okanagan.
At this time, there are no evacuation alerts or orders in effect for the City of Penticton. However, wildfire conditions can change quickly, and residents are encouraged to remain prepared.

The City of Penticton is encouraging all residents to sign up for its emergency notification system, Voyent Alert!
When subscribed, if there is an emergency in your area, you will receive real-time alerts directly to your phone through the Voyent Alert! app, via email, text message or through a phone call. The system is free to use and will help you stay informed during emergency events such as wildfires, floods and other urgent situations.

Sign up for your B.C. Services Card
Residents are reminded that they can sign up for their B.C. Services Card, and download the B.C. Services Card App at any time. Having this done will help residents access Emergency Support Services (ESS) in the event of an evacuation order.
Tips for Being Prepared
Now is a good time to review your emergency plans and ensure you are prepared to leave on short notice if an evacuation alert or order is issued.
Residents should consider:
• Preparing a grab-and-go emergency kit with essential supplies, medications, identification and important documents.
• Planning how family members, pets and livestock would be evacuated if required.
• Ensuring vehicles are fuelled and ready to travel.
• Staying informed through trusted official sources.
Being prepared in advance can help reduce stress and ensure you can act quickly if conditions change.
