Signs depicting City branding spread false information about water quality

Service Announcement

The City of Penticton is aware of signs and handouts impersonating the City that spread false information about the Channel’s water quality.

These signs are not posted or distributed by the City of Penticton.

The water quality along the Channel and across all Penticton beaches is within the acceptable ranges, as of the latest Interior Health water quality samples.

The City of Penticton performs weekly recreational water quality sampling between May and October each year at multiple sites including Marina Way Beach, Okanagan Lake Beach, the Penticton Channel and Skaha Lake Beach.

Current test results are posted at interiorhealth.ca under recreational water or on the City’s website at penticton.ca/water-testing.

The public is invited to report these signs to the City by emailing publicworks@penticton.ca.
