Statement
“The idea that someone would open fire on RCMP officers conducting a vehicle stop is simply unfathomable.
“I’m extremely grateful that no officers or members of the public were injured in this attack. Penticton residents and visitors need to feel safe and our RCMP officers are our frontline of defence. This was a reckless and unprovoked attack and these people need to be caught and brought to justice.
“I ask that anyone with any information on this brazen activity immediately contact the RCMP so the perpetrators can be caught.”
