Summer 2022 Recreation Guide serving up warm weather wins

News Release

The City of Penticton has completed the Summer 2022 Recreation Guide – Serving up summer wins and is inviting residents to register for their favourite programs beginning June 15 at 8:00am.

“Summer in the Okanagan, especially Penticton, is the best time of year for both residents and visitors to take part in great outdoor programming, this year we are highlighting our great tennis programs for children and youth,” said Manager of Recreation, Arts & Culture, Kelsey Johnson. “At the Recreation Department, we’re excited to offer different class options that make use of our great outdoor spaces and local partners.”

The Summer 2022 Recreation Guide includes programming options such as Acro Jr. and Ninja Warriors for tots and youth respectively, as well as a variety of fitness options and outdoor adventure programs for adults. Children and youth can look forward to another season of great day camp options, including themed weeks, tennis camps and stand up paddle boarding.

“Penticton is a beautiful city full of great amenities and I’m proud that we can offer these different programs that maximize our parks and facilities. I encourage everyone to try something new this summer season,” said Mayor John Vassilaki.

The guide is available online at penticton.ca/recguide. Registration for programs opens June 15 for residents and June 16 for non-residents and can be done online through the City’s website penticton.ca/register or by calling the Penticton Community Centre at 250-490-2426 ext. 6.
