Service Announcement
As part of Vees Day on Tuesday, a parade with the team is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and is estimated to conclude by 4:30 p.m. A celebration at Rotary Park is expected to end at 6 p.m.
The following temporary measures will be put in place to support this event and may impact residents and businesses on Lakeshore Drive:
- No parking will be allowed on Lakeshore Drive, between Riverside Drive and Martin Street, throughout the day. Vehicles parked in this area may be towed. Parking will be allowed to resume at 4:30 p.m. following the parade.
- Lakeshore Drive, between Riverside Drive and Martin Street, will be closed to traffic beginning at 3 p.m. and will reopen following the parade at approximately 4:30 p.m.
- Transit fees will be waived for the day to encourage attendees to come without their vehicles.
- The City will provide free on-street parking downtown all day, as well as at City-owned parking lots to support participation in the event.
