In light of COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, the January 18, 2022 Council Meeting will take place electronically via ZOOM. Council meetings will remain electronic until further notice.
The meeting remains open to the public for electronic participation and observation.
The Public Question Period in which the public can pose questions to Council related to items on the current agenda occurs following the presentation of staff reports in the afternoon and land matters in the evening. The Public Hearings allowing affected citizens to provide their views to their elected representatives on planning and land use bylaws will begin at 6:00pm.
Residents wishing to join for the Public Question Period and Public Hearings are able to participate via ZOOM or telephone. Details will be available on the City’s website’s homepage or on www.penticton.ca/councilmeetings.
If residents do not have an option to observe the Council meeting electronically, the meeting will be broadcasted on screen in Council Chambers, 171 Main Street. Safeguarding public health is our top priority if you choose to attend in person, we ask that one person attend per household or organization as capacity in Council Chambers is limited.
