Service Announcement
Crews are continuing work to repair a water main failure on Penticton Avenue. The water main failure was the cause of a washout on Penticton Avenue earlier this evening and not overtopping of Penticton Creek.
The water supply has been switched to the creek intake making it possible to isolate and turn off the water main without interrupting service to customers within the distribution system.
The City is working with utilities to complete the repair anticipated Monday morning.
Penticton Avenue has been reduced to one lane alternating traffic until crews are able to repair the water main and backfill. Traffic control personnel are on site to guide motorists.
